Quality Manager

JOB PURPOSE:  Manages inspections of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. Oversees the development of quality standards and protocols for quality assurance testing models. Assists in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and maintain quality management systems and standards to measure and control quality in the production processes.
  • Hands on capability investigating problems, developing countermeasures, identifying root cause and assisting in the implementation of solutions.
  • Work with designers and Engineers to establish quality standards for individual products and set out the standards in documents and processes for the production team.
  • Work with production staff to raise awareness of the importance of quality and train production workers in quality procedures.
  • Support quality inspectors and provide them with the tools to control quality on the production lines.
  • Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Take proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems.
  • Work with members of the supply chain to ensure the quality of raw materials, components and sub-assemblies to meet the company’s quality standards.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance

  • Lead problem solving and root cause analyses
  • Internal auditor for ISO9001
  • Understand and lead ISO9001 certification requirements 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience, Competencies and Education 

  • BS/BA degree in engineering with quality assurance certifications
  • Minimum of three to five years in an industrial manufacturing operation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Standards
  • Lean and Six Sigma training a plus

Engineering Services Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is primarily responsible for the overall direction and management of the company’s engineering service departments to include tooling drafting/design and machine shop manufacturing activities. This position works toward development of new processes and improvement of existing process technology.

POSITION PREREQUISITES:

The successful candidate must possess a college degree; Engineering degree preferred. Must have at least ten (10) years of experience with increasing responsibility in engineering disciplines. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to provide leadership, demonstrated mechanical inclination and competence in mechanical design/drafting. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform and/or direct department activities to achieve goals and ensure objectives are completed on-time.
  • Motivate employees to work as one cohesive unit.
  • Promote activities which improve material and labor productivity.
  • Act as a leader in the concept of Continuous Improvement.

Corporate IT Director

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage corporate IT operations to ensure all systems necessary to support the company operation and objectives are in place.

POSITION PREREQUISITES:

The successful candidate must possess a college degree; Computer Science degree preferred. Must have at least five to seven (5-7) years of experience as an IT manager with increasing responsibility in information technology disciplines. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure IT systems are effective and functioning within the limits of budget, time and specifications of the company.

Establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies as set forth in corporate business plan.

Manage annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

Assist in building relationships with suppliers and managing cost-efficient contracts.

Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software.

Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems.

Supervise the company’s IT staff and functions, including software, hardware and network technicians; system administrators, programmers and developers through training, coaching, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.

Oversee operations of all technology functions and equipment, including company computer systems, Internet operations and mobile communications to ensure the enforcement of established security protocols.

Create, implement and enforce IT policies that support the efforts of all departments within the company.

Manage large-scale technology projects and assure their completion on time, according to budget and at the expected quality level.

Manage disaster recovery and contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

Hire contractors and outsource functions when necessary to ensure the company’s technology needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Ensure compliance with all software licensing laws.

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience, Competencies and Education 

BS degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar field.

Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience.

Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.

Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.

Experience in controlling information technology budgets.

Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.

Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems will be a plus.

Experience working with SQL Server data base and reporting tools will be a plus.

Regional Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is primarily responsible for professionally managing the assigned sales territory to maximize sales and profitability. This position is located in Bristol, Virginia and the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales in IA, MO, KS, NE, CO, UT, NV, CA, and HI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to research the territory to identify, and to land potential new customers
