Corporate Contract Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

The Corporate Contract Manager is primarily responsible for overall management of Corporate and Divisional contracts and agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contracts, Agreements, Purchase Orders (various: including formal, short form, and annual contracts): Drafting, Evaluation, Negotiation, and Execution:
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements, Sales / Purchasing Agreements, Sub-contracts, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Master Agreements, review of customer proposed terms and conditions
    • Distribution Agreements (resellers, agents, joint marketing and development, etc.)
  • On all standard and nonstandard contracts, provide redlined recommendations and negotiate directly (when requested) with customers or suppliers until consensus has been reached.
  • As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other sales and operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
  • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
  • Work with Finance to coordinate contractual insurance, rebate, royalty, commission requirements. Maintain certificates of insurance from Strongwell’s suppliers naming Strongwell as an additional insured.
  • Work with Finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, including understanding / evaluating economic impact of terms and term options.
  • Support Sales / Marketing / Operations to ensure company products and services are offered with appropriate, competitive terms and conditions
  • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation.
  • Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.)
  • Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Competencies and Education

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in contract review.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Professional image
  • Ability to function as part of management.

Process Engineer – Manufacturing

Strongwell, the world’s leader in pultruded composite products, is recruiting a mechanical engineer for the Bristol, Virginia manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be a Manufacturing Process Engineer professionally contributing to the engineering processes of the facility. Candidates should possess 2+ years’ of manufacturing experience and have a keen desire to learn the pultrusion process. Also, the following talents and skills should be displayed:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven CAD abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Self-motivated with a curious aptitude to enhance process efficiencies through contemporary engineering techniques
  • Composites experience is a plus
  • Comprehension of various materials and resins utilized in product development is desirable
  • Ability to communicate with manufacturing associates, technical peers, management and customers is imperative
  • Project management experience is beneficial
  • Experience with 5S and Lean manufacturing is desirable.
  • A strong chemistry aptitude is a plus

Process Engineer Intern

Strongwell, the world leader in the manufacture of pultruded composite products, is seeking an engineering intern for its Chatfield, Minnesota manufacturing facility. The Process Engineer intern will work closely with employees in operations, technology and product development to improve processes and systems, productivity improvements and waste reduction efforts. Flexibility is necessary to support multiple shift operations when required. Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication and problem solving skills are required.

Requirements / Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working toward B.S. in mechanical, chemical or composite engineering
  • Creative technical and hands-on aptitude
  • A keen desire to learn a unique and growing manufacturing process
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various manufacturing departments
  • Understanding of best manufacturing processes
  • Ability to multi-task assignments
  • Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements
  • Report on process activities
  • Recommend and implement productivity improvements
  • Recommend and implement waste reduction processes
  • Investigate and resolve production problems
  • Work with development team to investigate new processes and formulas

Qualifications:
