Process Engineer

Requirements / Key responsibilities include:

  • B.S. in mechanical, chemical or composite engineering
  • Creative technical aptitude
  • A keen desire to learn a unique and growing manufacturing process
  • “Hands on” capabilities with ability to communicate effectively with various manufacturing departments
  • Understanding of best manufacturing processes
  • Ability to multi-task assignments
  • Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements
  • Report on process activities
  • Recommend and implement productivity improvements
  • Recommend and implement waste reduction processes
  • Investigate and resolve production problems
  • Work with development team to investigate new processes and formulas

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate with verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Inventor, ISO, AutoCad, ERP Systems
  • Composite industry experience in process engineering

Ideal experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ process engineering experience
  • Environmental/safety experience
  • Pultrusion manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Process automation

ERP Administrator

JOB PURPOSE:  Serves as corporate resident expert on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Updates, monitors and revises ERP system based on recommendations of business units. Effectively trains and communicates system functions to end-users as necessary. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies configured product systems including encoding, testing, and debugging to support the ERP applications
  • Responsible to ensuring the reliable performance of ERP manufacturing systems
  • Assists with feasibility studies for new ERP initiatives
  • Participates in projects to implement, test and design ERP system releases and system upgrades
  • Monitors and maintains ERP systems security.
  • Serves as liaison between functional and technical resources to manage the development of ERP system functionality.
  • Monitor, report and resolve ERP Help Desk support tickets.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Seeks end-user input regarding system performance
  • Identifies individuals for ERP cross-training
  • Enhance ERP and product knowledge by attending user group meetings and online forums
  • Create and maintain ERP documentation such as operating procedures, workflows and user guides

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience, Competencies and Education

  • Comprehensive knowledge in standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a configure-to-order manufacturing environment.
    • Inventory Management, Bill of Material, Routes, Production Scheduling, Product Configurator
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing software system
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Access databases
    • MS SQL 2012 / 2014
    • Access 2013 / 2016
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related area and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
