Process Engineer

Requirements / Key responsibilities include:

  • B.S. in mechanical, chemical or composite engineering
  • Creative technical aptitude
  • A keen desire to learn a unique and growing manufacturing process
  • “Hands on” capabilities with ability to communicate effectively with various manufacturing departments
  • Understanding of best manufacturing processes
  • Ability to multi-task assignments
  • Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements
  • Report on process activities
  • Recommend and implement productivity improvements
  • Recommend and implement waste reduction processes
  • Investigate and resolve production problems
  • Work with development team to investigate new processes and formulas

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate with verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Inventor, ISO, AutoCad, ERP Systems
  • Composite industry experience in process engineering

Ideal experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ process engineering experience
  • Environmental/safety experience
  • Pultrusion manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Process automation

Desktop Support Technician

JOB PURPOSE:  The Desktop Support Technician role is to provide a point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Image and deploy new desktop systems
  • Maintain system printers
  • Maintain / update Microsoft and 3rd party software patches
  • Address Help Desk tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting
  • Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Help create technical documentation and manuals

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience, Competencies and Education 

  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Technician
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 7, 10 and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access databases a plus
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals such as printers, scanners and mobile devices
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
  • Ability to work closely with vendors
  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking and communication skills
  • Proven ability to maintain a positive and support attitude while working in a fast-paced and ongoing-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team-based environment
  • Associates Degree in Management Information Systems or relevant field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:  This position requires that the employee be able to perform the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Sedentary, standing and walking in office and manufacturing plant environment. Limited travel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  This position requires that the employee be able to work effectively in a work environment involving: Offices and manufacturing facility.
