The School of Business and Information Systems for Vocational Training Council in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong needed a versatile solution for their new air-conditioning platforms. DURADEK® I-6000 fiberglass grating was selected to not only serve as a platform, but also to function as a visually appealing louver, concealing the air conditioning units.

The FRP solution was chosen over steel, wood and aluminum because of its resistance to weathering. DURADEK®’s lightweight properties help reduce the load exerted onto the structural members. In addition the lightweight DURADEK® resulted in a much easier installation. DURADEK® I-6000 provided a long-lasting, safe platform and the facility maintains a pleasant and rust-free outlook.
