Training volunteers how to respond to emergencies has always been a critical component of the mission of the American Red Cross. Transferring, sharing and maintaining that knowledge and responsibility in a workplace emergency has always been a critical component of continuous employee training at Strongwell. During the month of April, over 25 employees volunteered to participate in hands-on learning utilizing the services of the American Red Cross of the Mountain Empire to learn basic First Aid, CPR, and AED life-saving skills. These courses are aligned with OSHA’s best practices for Workplace First Aid Training, which support Strongwell’s Accident Free Environment (SAFE) program.
