Many thousands of Strongwell’s HS Armor Panels have been purchased by the U.S. Military, but there are also numerous non-military market applications for these fiberglass armor panels. One such application is the installation of HS Armor at a Georgia public defender’s office. Flint River Materials, a provider of Strongwell HS Armor, reported that contractors easily installed the panels. Panels were hung and installed just like drywall and finished with drywall compound. The smooth wall surface texture was accomplished through sanding and painting. In other words, the added security was accomplished with little to no extra effort compared to installing standard drywall.
Strongwell’s HS Armor Panels have been independently tested to Universal Laboratories (UL752) Levels 1 through 3 and the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Levels 1, 2A, 2 and 3A.
