Strongwell was glad to give Tyler Perkins a boost in his quest to complete his Eagle Scout Badge in 2013.  Tyler and his team of Boy Scouts found a creative way to provide long-term housing for birds utilizing the unique lightweight, high strength and rot resistance properties of EXTREN^®.  Jeff Roberts (Custom Products Manager-Bristol) is Tyler’s Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 2 based out of Southside United Methodist Church in Bristol, TN. Strongwell’s design and fabrication teams assisted with the preparation of the EXTREN^® material. Tyler and his fellow Boy Scouts assembled and painted 15 bird houses with Billy Phillips (Fabrication Manager-Bristol), Jeff Roberts (Custom Products Manager-Bristol) and Randy Montgomery (Manager-Project Management & Detailing-Bristol) for installation at a local hospice house near Bristol Regional Medical Center.
