We are pleased to announce that Bhyrav Mutnuri has joined Strongwell as Product Development Engineer. In this role, he will be responsible for working closely with customers and potential clients to commercialize new custom products for Strongwell. Bhyrav will report to the Vice President of Sales and Engineering.

Bhyrav has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India, and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Bhyrav comes to Strongwell with over 13 years of experience in the composites industry with an emphasis on manufacturing using pultrusion, testing, and mechanical characterization. His background includes 10 years as Engineer with Bedford Reinforced Plastics. In this role, Bhyrav worked in sales and partnered with customers as a subject matter expert in identifying opportunities and determining how best to meet customers’ needs. In addition, he also played a key role in improving process effectiveness and product quality, and oversaw major R&D efforts. Bhyrav previously worked for West Virginia University as an Engineering Scientist, and the Advanced and Applied Polymer Processing Institute as a Research Associate.

Bhyrav is a member of several industry and standard committees including Load and Resistance Factor Design where he is currently a voting member, ASTM International where he is Chairman of D20.18 – Reinforced Thermoset Composites, Cooling Tower Institute, Pultrusion Industry Council, and Fiberglass Grating Manufacturers Council where he currently serves as treasurer.

Bhyrav, his wife Purnima, and son Sreekar now reside in Bristol Tennessee. In his spare time, Bhyrav enjoys spending time with his family, watching Steelers football with his son, and
photography.
