Composites Drop in for an Expo at Anderson Elementary
For the past few years, Rodney Banks (Drafter Lead-Bristol) has been volunteering as a “Reading Buddy” for multiple students at Anderson Elementary School, located in Bristol, TN.
Recently, Anderson Elementary hosted a week-long Career and Technology Expo for its students. Rodney was asked to share his daily job duties and offer students some insight to the technology he uses. During his presentation, he stressed the importance commerce plays within the community and how local employers strengthen global markets and economies.
To aid with his presentation, Rodney provided students with samples of pultruded grating, structural decking panels, handrail, and structural shapes to better highlight how structural design intermingled with fabrication and assembly.
We would like to thank to the Bristol Tennessee School System (BTCS) and Anderson Elementary for the awesome opportunity in mentoring students through the creation of career and product exposure opportunities.
