Strongwell would like to congratulate the city of Bristol, Virginia , home of Strongwell's Bristol Division and corporate offices, for being named to 2009 Top 7 List of Intelligent Communities.

The international competition is sponsored by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) based in New York City and involves a 10-month global search to find locations that are building "prosperity and social inclusion" in what judges call an emerging Broadband Economy.

Bristol, Virginia is the only U.S. city nominated alongside more than 450
international applicants up for this prestigious technological award. The nomination keeps Bristol in the running to achieve the highest designation – being named the 2009 Intelligent Community of the Year.
