Meet Matthew Dean and Marissa Sluss
Strongwell is pleased to announce the addition of two summer interns from Virginia Tech.
Matthew Dean has joined Strongwell as a Process Engineering Intern. Matthew is currently a student at Virginia Tech where he is studying to be a Mechanical Engineer.
Born and raised in Bristol, Virginia, Matthew graduated from Virginia High School in 2018 where he played football, soccer, and wrestled. He is also a past recipient of the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing (SVAM) Scholarship.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys flying drones, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends.
Marissa Sluss is a rising freshman at Virginia Tech. While at Tech, she plans on pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a Fab Sales and Drafting Intern, she hopes to continue developing her drafting skills with Strongwell’s estimation and design teams.
Marissa is also looking forward to utilizing her internship as a way to introduce composites to high schools as an alternative to single-use plastics and legacy materials.
Please join us in welcoming both Matthew and Marissa to our summer internship program.
