Two students from the University of Tennessee’s College of Engineering have recently joined the Strongwell internship program for the summer.

Reece Emery is a rising senior and currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Reece will be serving as a R&D Laboratory Intern.

As a native of Kingsport, Tennessee, Reece attended Dobyns-Bennett High School where he played the trumpet in their marching band. Reece is also an accomplished Eagle Scout.

In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, sports, and traveling.

Tyler Douglas is currently a senior pursuing both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, while minoring in Business Administration. Tyler will be serving as a Maintenance/Machine Building Intern.

Tyler was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, and graduated from Science Hill High School.

In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, biking, and playing sports.
