We are  pleased to announce that Te-Kai Shu has been promoted to Community Relations Manager, reporting to the Corporate Director, Marketing and Communications. In his role, Te-Kai will act as Strongwell’s primary community advocate by engaging in the various educational, civic, and similar community-related programs in which Strongwell participates. He will also take a more active role in team member engagement activities within Strongwell to strengthen the company’s employer brand. Te-Kai will continue to manage the company’s social media platforms and assist with other marketing and online business development functions.

Te-Kai has been with Strongwell since 2007, when he began as a pultrusion operator. He most recently served as Social Media and Business Development Manager, a title he held since 2015.

Te-Kai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Emory & Henry College and plans to begin coursework toward an MBA this fall. He is a graduate of the LEAD Bristol! and Leadership Kingsport programs. He serves on several boards and advisory committees throughout the region.

Te-Kai has been recognized numerous times for his civic and business achievements, including the Tri-Cities Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, United Way of Bristol Volunteer of the Year, and Bristol Chamber of Commerce Leadership Service Award.

Te-Kai lives in Bristol, Tennessee, with his wife, Ashleigh, and daughter, Gracie. In his spare time, Te-Kai enjoys vacation planning, reading, and finding reasons to smoke various foods.
