Strongwell recently showcased as one of over 25 participants in the second annual “ONE BRISTOL Career Event” held at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The event was sponsored by the United Way of Bristol, Bristol Tennessee City Schools, Bristol Virginia Public Schools, City of Bristol Tennessee, City of Bristol Virginia, Bristol Tennessee Essential Services, Bristol Virginia Utilities, and Communities in Schools Southwest Virginia.

For the past two years, students from both Virginia Middle and Vance Middle utilize half a day to learn about a wide variety of careers and industries present within their local community.

With about 450 students in attendance, opportunities arose for students to interact with composites, manufacturing, assembly, nursing, first responders, cosmetology, packaging, drones, land surveying, healthcare, and retail.

Visitors to the Strongwell table this year participated in hands-on learning about carbon fiber composites and mechanical assembly with fiberglass. In addition, assembly competitions were also hosted during the event.
